Galway Bay fm newsroom – The two Galway teams who participated in the All-Ireland Senior and Minor Hurling finals at Croke Park yesterday, have begun their homecoming journey.
The victorious Minor champions, and the defeated Senior team, will be feted at homecoming receptions once they cross the Shannon this afternoon.
The teams departed Dublin this lunchtime with a Garda escort.
They are due to arrive in Ballinasloe around 3pm where a civic welcome will take place at the Fairgreen.
The teams are scheduled to leave Ballinasloe at 4.30p.m to make their way to Pearse Stadium where they are due for a reception at 6pm.
