Galway Bay Fm newsroom-The announcement by Minister Heather Humphreys today (Sunday) that she is approving a final funding injection of €255,000 from her Department to complete the fit out of Galway’s Picture Palce Cinema is welcome news says Mayor Noel Larkin.
He spoke to Galway Bay Fm after the Minister made the announcement during a visit to Galway today.
She said that taxpayers have invested significantly in the Picture Palace since the project first started and it has not been without its challenges.
Galway City Council along with Element Pictures who will operate it have come up with the rest of the funding to finish the work and the cinema is due to open next March according to the Mayor.
