Galway Bay fm newsroom – Talks are underway between The HSE and the INMO this afternoon in a bid to avert strike action at University Hospital Galway next week.
The INMO says their members will hold rolling two hour work stoppages at seven of the countries main hospitals next Thursday in protest at overcrowding.
They’re currently engaged in talks with the HSE at the Workplace Relations Commission in an effort to prevent that action from going ahead.
Sinn Féin’ Deputy Leader Mary Lou McDonald says that the situation is dire – and nurses are not being left with any choice.
