Galway Bay fm newsroom – NUI Galway is owed €4 million in tuition fees
Irish universities are owed more than 17 million euro with NUI Galway coming in with the second highest figure at 4.1 million
The University of Limerick is owed the most at over 5.2 million euro, a debt built up over the last number of years.
Figures released to the Irish Independent show that students are struggling to pay and colleges are finding it hard to collect fees owed.
2.6 million is owed to Trinity College while UCC and UCD have failed to collect almost 1.9 and 1.3 million respectively.
DCU is owed the least at just over half a million euro
