Galway Bay fm newsroom – Almost 3000 homes are without power in the Athenry area this morning.
The power cut is mainly affecting homes to the east of the town, and in the Menlough and Monivea areas.
ESB crews are working to repair a fault, and it’s hoped electricity will be restored by early afternoon.
Meanwhile, 58 homes are without power this morning in Cleggan in Connemara.
ESB crews hope to restore power to the affected premises by 12.30.
