IN Gaelic Games, Galway County Board Chairman Noel Treacy has been re-elected for 2016 after defeating John Fahy 139 votes to 93 in the 3rd and final round of balloting at the county convention in Loughrea last night. Earlier, Michael Regan was eliminated with 20 votes in round 1 and John Joe Holleran exited the race in round 2 with 54 votes. Kenneth Fox was elected the new Vice Chairman and Cyril Farrell is the new Galway Co Board President.
