Galway Bay fm newsroom – The findings of the inquest into the death of a six-year-old girl from Connemara will be used to formulate an action plan of improvements needed at Galway’s public hospitals.
The matter has been raised in the Seanad today by Galway senator Trevor O’Clochartaigh.
Aibhe Conroy died in Temple Street Hospital in Dublin on the 14th of December 2011- having being transferred there from Galway University Hospital.
A recent inquest returned a verdict of medical misadventure.
Speaking in the Seanad, Senator Trevor O’Clochartaigh said the Conroy family wants to ensure that changes are made to prevent these circumstances from arising again.
In response, Junior Health Minister Kathleen Lynch says the findings of Aibhe Conroy’s inquest will be used in the implementation of a new action plan for Galway’s hospitals.
