Galway Bay fm newsroom – Minister of State at the Department of Health with special responsibilty for mental health, Kathleen Lynch is in Galway today (3/11) to launch a series of videos on students’ mental health.
This afternoon the Junior Minister launched youtube clips which were organised by NUI Galway’s Student Counselling Service.
The video series is aimed at getting students to openly discuss their difficulties with issues such as depression, anxiety and perfectionism.
Last year almost 12 hundred students attended the university’s Counseling Service with anxiety being the single biggest issue.
