Galway Bay fm newsroom – Plans for a new housing development in Renmore have been given the green light.
Tony and Mary Shaughnessy had been granted planning permission for the homes at Dun na Mara earlier this year.
However, the decision was appealed to An Bord Pleanala by a group of local residents.
The development will include nine new homes at Dun na Mara in Renmore.
The houses will be semi-detached, with one detached – and will include a new enlarged vehicle turning area.
The development faced local opposition amid concerns over amenity space in the area.
However, An Bord Pleanala has now given the go-ahead for the new homes with 17 conditions attached.
Among these is a requirement for developer to pay over 88 thousand euro to the planning authority in respect of public infrastructure and facilities benefitting development in the area.
