Galway Bay fm newsroom – The HSE is being urged to provide clarity on its spend on agency staff at Galway’s public hospitals.
Tuam area councillor Mary Hoade, who’s a member of the HSE Regional Health Forum West, says she’s asked the HSE to outline how much has been spent on agency staff in Galway.
It follows the news that around 82% of the HSE’s agency staff budget for the year was already spent by May of this year.
Councillor Hoade says she wants to know what the executive is doing to take on permanent staff and reduce agency spend.
