Galway Bay fm newsroom – Care workers with the Brothers of Charity and Ability West are planning to hold work stoppages in a fortnight in a dispute over payment for unsocial hours.
Over 400 workers in Galway and Roscommon claim they are owed arrears by the HSE in so called ‘twilight payments’.
Care workers began industrial action last week by withdrawing from clerical and administrative duties.
Impact union says work stoppages will begin on Tuesday September 29th if the HSE does not negotiate over the payments.
