Galway Bay fm newsroom – Protestors have called on the Transport Minister to pause the Galway to Oughterard Greenway plans to allow for further consultation
Approximately 60 landowners and residents affected by the proposed Galway to Oughterard greenway route held a protest in Moycullen today
The group claims there’s been inadequate consultation by the county council on the proposed route.
There are also ongoing concerns that the dedicated cycle path could have an impact on private property and farmland.
The action group have been meeting Deputy Sean Kyne after protesting outside his Moycullen office
Spokesperson Martin Gibbons told NewsBreak that Deputy Kyne, although he’s in favour of the Greenway, has agreed to help organise a meeting with Minister Paschal Donohue
