Galway Bay fm newsroom – A residents meeting to voice concerns over a planned housing development in Renmore drew a large crowd in the city last night.
A planned 9-home development at Dun Na Mara has generated significant local opposition.
Up to 50 residents attended last nights meeting at Flannery’s Hotel to voice their opposition to the planned development.
Representatives from the Renmore Residents Assoication and a number of local Councillors also attended the event.
Tony and Mary Shaughnessy have applied for planning permission for 9 new homes at Dun na Mara.
The houses will be semi-detached with one detached and will include a new enlarged turning area.
It’s expected that residents will lodge an objection against the planned development in the coming weeks.
