Aisling Joyce of NUI Galway will be involved in the upcoming European Cross Country Championships, to be held on Sunday in Chia, Italy. The talented Claremorris AC member, now in NUIG, has made great strides over the last year under the expert tutelage of Coach Matt Lockett, and her dedication and hard work in training has proved successful in getting her to international level.
Aisling will be running in the Women’s Under 20 race that begins at 9.15am Irish time. Ireland has entered a strong team at this level with Aisling joined by Amy Rose Farrell, Rose Finnegan, Jodie McCann, Sophie Murphy, Emma O’Brien, Louise Shanahan and Carla Sweeney.
