Maree’s Claire Rockall, who plays her basketball with Glanmire, has picked up the Women’s Super League Player of the Month award for November. Rockall has proven to be a vital cog in the Glanmire machine, and is regularly listed on the top scorers for their games. She will undoubtedly be one of their key players this weekend when Glanmire take on Pyrobel Killester at home at 3pm on Saturday afternoon.

Templeogue’s Lorcan Murphy has won his second Player of the Month award this season, as he has scooped the Men’s Super League Player of the Month title for the second month in a row.

The talented player has continued to impress for the table toppers, including fantastic performances throughout the month of November, most notably when he netted a whopping 34 points against Radisson Blu UL Eagles.

Head Coach of Griffith Swords Thunder, Dave Baker, has been awarded the Men’s Super League Coach of the Month award after he led his side to an unbeaten run for the month of November. He will be hoping to continue that winning streak this evening (Wednesday), when his side faces off against an unbeaten Templeogue in the quarter-final of the Hula Hoops National Cup at 8pm in the National Basketball Arena.

Meanwhile it’s also back-to-back wins for Ambassador UCC Glanmire’s Head Coach Mark Scannell, as his side continued an unbeaten run at the top of the League for a second month in a row. His Glanmire charges have also booked their spot in the Cup semi-finals in January, and are proving to be a force to be reckoned with once more.

Elsewhere, an unbeaten run throughout the month of November in the Men’s Division One League has secured the Coach of the Month award for James Weldon of Keane’s SuperValu Killorglin. His charges have yet to be beaten in the League following seven games and are now the only unbeaten team in the Division. They return to League action this weekend when they face Fr Mathews in Cork on Saturday.

Meanwhile EJ Sligo All-Stars player Kaylim Noel has scooped the Men’s Division One Player of the Month title following hugely impressive displays so far this season and will be a core part of Head Coach Shane O’Meara’s tactics ahead of their much-anticipated clash with LYIT Donegal this Saturday evening.

In the Women’s Division One, Martin Conroy of ITC Basketball has been awarded the Coach of the Month for the Division as his team continued to dominate in November and are now the only unbeaten team in their League. UL Huskies star player Sarah Benedetti meanwhile has been awarded the Player of the Month award for the Women’s Division One.
