Galway Bay fm newsroom – A protest march will take place in the city tomorrow following the cancellation of a number of busy city bus routes.

It follows the cancellation of services from Westside to Claddagh, Scoil Einde to Seacreast, and Claddagh to Westside via Salthill – which were pulled after the Halloween mid-term.

City Councillor Mike Cubbard says children attending the Claddagh school have been worst affected.

As a result of the cancellation, Claddagh pupils from Westside have to take a bus to Eyre Square, then catch a second bus to Father Griffin Road.

A ‘Save Our Bus’ protest march led by the Claddagh School band will take place at 9.30am tomorrow week to highlight the issue.

Councillor Mike Cubbard says tomorrow’s protest will be led by the children of the Claddagh school.
