Galway Bay fm newsroom – A County Councillor is calling for immediate safety works to be undertaken at a dangerous crossroad on the Tynagh Road in Loughrea.
Councillor Moegie Maher says the Finger Board junction has been responsible for a number of accidents in recent weeks.
He’s urging the County Council and Transport Infrastructure Ireland to urgently provide road markings at the location and erect additional signage.
The Fine Gael Councillor is also calling for similar works to be undertaken at Kilchreest Bridge to alleviate dangerous conditions for road users.
Councillor Maher says action is needed at both locations before somebody is killed.
