Galway Bay fm newsroom – The expansion of the Athenry Boys National School has taken a step forward.
OPW Minister and Galway East TD Sean Canney has confirmed that a Quantity Surveyor for the project is to be appointed and that the design team has visited the site.
The planning application for the project is expected to be lodged with Galway County Council by the end of year.
Minister Canney says that the design team are currently examining the site to see what preparatory works are needed:
