A modern-day re-imagining of the Dublin-based headquarters of the Irish Revolution will be officially opened in the city in the next half hour.
It’s part of a major 1916 conference taking place at NUI Galway this week.
‘The Souvenir Shop’ exhibition by Rita Duffy is a re-imagined version of the shop on Moore Street in Dublin which served as the HQ of revolutinary leader Thomas Clarke.
The ‘shop’ is full of home products typical of the average household around the time of the Rising.
Arts Minister Heather Humphreys will officially open the exhibition at 9 Henry Street at 2 this afternoon.
