Galway Bay Fm Newsroom-Education and youth projects from across the county are teaming up for a major Connemara Sea Week project.
Hundreds of pupils, staff and teachers from schools and educational groups will gather in Letterfrack from tomorrow for the annual Connemara Sea Week Festival.
This year’s event will feature a schools programme, in which ecologists, marine biologists and storytellers will come together to educate children on all aspects of the sea and its wildlife.
The festival, now in its 32nd year, will also include the After the Light project, which will see participation from Youthreach, GMIT, GRETB and schools from across the county.
Connemara Sea Week gets underway in Letterfrack at 1pm tomorrow with a kite flying event.
Organiser Leo Hallissey told Galway Bay Fm news that there’s a jam-packed schedule of events lined up.
