Galway Bay fm newsroom – Parkmore businesses have joined together to fight the city traffic crisis
‘Parkmore Business Leaders’ have joined forces to form a working group with the IDA and Galway City Council to suggest solutions to alleviate the situation.
Over six thousand employees commute daily to and from work in the area.
The businesses say the traffic congestion is fast approaching crises point and is affecting business productivity as well as employee morale and quality of life.
Pat Duane, VP Global Operations with Creganna Medical who is leading this initiative is hopeful that significant progress can be made.
He told FYI Galway “Our proactive approach, along with the support we need from Galway City Council and the IDA, can result in a breakthrough for Parkmore employees and businesses.”
He added “We sincerely hope that this can be achieved as quickly as possible for all involved.”
