Galway Bay fm newsroom – Communities are losing out because of a delay in appointing a company to deliver the LEADER programme in the east and north of the county.
That’s according to OPW Minister and Galway East T.D Seán Canney.
The programme was previously administered by Galway Rural Development.
However a tender bid by Galway Rural Development in conjunction with the Local Community Development Committee has been unsuccessful.
Minister Canney says many local communities in north and east Galway need the funding to carry out projects.
