There are reports in the National and Local media this afternoon that Galway United have parted company with manager Tommy Dunne after three years in charge of the club.
During that spell, Dunne brought Galway United back to the premier division just one season after the club reformed in its present guise, winning promotion after coming through the play offs.
Last Season, Galway United consolidated their position in the Premier Division but a disappointing run of results saw the Tribesmen drop to ninth in the table following recent defeats to Shamrock Rovers and Cork City. The Club play Finn Harps on Saturday night next at Eamon Deacy Park.
It’s understood that discussions with the club hierarchy led to an agreement that the 44-year-old would depart his role.
There is still no word on who will replace Dunne as manager at Eamon Deacy Park.
