Galway Bay fm newsroom – Eva the Turtle is set to be released back to the ocean this week after being nursed back to health at Galway Atlantaquaria in Salthill.
The turtle was injured and washed up during Storm Eva last winter.
Eva is now ready to return to the wild, and will say goodbye to the team at Galway Atlantaquaria on Friday morning.
She’ll be brought by the Irish Navy from Cork to the Mediterranean Sea, where she will be set free.
