Galway Bay fm newsroom – The N59 Galway to Clifden road at Kylemore, Connemara is closed due to flooding.
The main artery through Connemara is busy at this time of year, as the tourist season remains brisk.
County Council crews are on their way to the flooded area.
It’s hoped the road will re-open by lunchtime.
The incident comes as Gardaí issue a road safety warning, due to a large amount of surface water on routes across the county.
