Galway Bay fm newsroom – Householders in Galway are recycling 17% more electrical items than they did in 2014.
The new figures, published by WEEE Ireland, show that 75% of Galway households are now actively recycling their electrical waste.
An average of 7kg of electrical waste per person is being collected in Galway, almost double the original EU target of 4kg.
Bo Browne, Communications co-ordinator for WEEE Ireland says many people are availing of recycling through local retailers.
