Galway Bay fm newsroom – A verdict of medical misadventure has been returned at the inquest into the death of Ailbhe Conroy from Connemara, who died in Temple Street Hospital in Dublin on the 14th of December 2011.
Ailbhe was six and a half and a pupil in the Carna primary school at the time when she was transferred to Temple Street from UHG on the 11th of December 2011.
In explaining his decision of medical misadventure, the Dublin city coroner Dr. Brian Farrell mentioned the failure to carry out critical tests on Ailbhe earlier in 2011.
He also said that other tests taken to determine cortizol levels could not be relied on.
