Galway Bay fm newsroom – Property prices across Galway are stabilising according to the latest figures from MyHome.ie.
The average price of a 4 bed semi-detached home in the city currently stands at 195 thousand euro.
That figure represents an increase of 11 percent when compared with 2014, but remains unchanged compared to the second quarter of this year.
However, the average price of a 2-bed apartment has dropped by 2 percent during the same period, and will now set buyers back 130 thousand euro.
The report for the third quarter of this year predicts that house price inflation nationwide will slow by 5 percent by December.
The MyHome.ie affordability index lists Galway as one of the more affordable counties in the country to buy a home.
James Rogers of MyHome.ie says it shows a strong property market in Galway.
