Galway Bay fm newsroom – A property in Galway is being examined as part of the investigation into the mismanagement of national suicide charity, Console.
The High Court has heard of serious questions surrounding transactions between the suicide bereavement charity and its UK-based sister organisation.
According to the Irish Examiner, bank accounts in Britain and properties in Ireland have emerged as a result of investigations by the charity’s interim CEO David Hall.
Searches are also being conducted in relation to three linked properties in Tralee, County Kerry, Cork, and an eight-bed property in Galway.
A Paypal account which was used to receive donations to Console is also likely to be examined.
Console’s Galway headquarters is situated at Dún Daingean in Newcastle, but it’s not been established if this is the property referred to in court.
