Galway Bay fm newsroom – A man is due before Ballinasloe District Court today charged in connection with theft at Moylough Church.
The man, believed to be a Polish national and about 40 years old, was arrested by Gardai at the scene on Monday afternoon.
It’s understood a sum of cash was taken from the sacristy of the Church.
Gardai were alerted to the incident by a member of the public who reported a number of men acting suspiciously at the church at about 3pm.
Three men were subsequently arrested – however, two of the group were later released without charge.
