Galway Bay fm newsroom – Plans for a residential development at Rahoon in the city have been turned down.
Dacks Developments has been refused planning permission for 16 houses at Letteragh, Rahoon Road.
The development would have included 6 four-bedroom semi-detached houses and 10 four-bedroom terrace houses.
City planners have turned down the plans for the Rahoon houses stating that the sight lines to the east and west of the proposed vehicle entrance would be obstructed.
Planners also decided that the development would be substandard in that it fails to provide a satisfactory standard of layout for such housing.
They also state that it would include a substandard unviable open space.
