The Details of the opening round of games in the County Senior A and B Hurling Championships and the first round of the County Intermediate Hurling Championships have been released by the County Board. The First Round of games will be played on the weekend of the 23rd and 24th of April.
On Saturday the 23rd in the Senior A Hurling Championships, Padraig Pearses face Ardrahan in Kenny Park at 5pm followed by Sarsfields and St Thomas at 6.30. There is also one game in Gort in the Senior A Hurling Championships as Cappataggle take on Liam Mellows at 6.30.
Staying with Saturday the 23rd of April, In The Senior B Hurling Championships at 5pm, Duggan Park will host Carnmore followed by Tommy Larkins and Beagh while in Tynagh Abbey Duniry at the same time Kilnadeema/Leitrim take on Clarinbridge in Gort. Then at 7pm in Pearse Stadium, Abbeyknockmoy take on Maigh Cuillin.
In The Intermediate Hurling Championships on Saturday, Killimor face An Spideal in Pearse Stadium at 5.30 while at 6.30 in Clarinbridge, Kilconieron take on Ballindereen and at the Same Time, Meelick-Eyrecourt face Kilbeacanty.
On To Sunday the 24th and In The Senior A Hurling Championships Portumna take on Craughwell in Loughrea at 1.30. Then at 4.30 there is a double header in Kenny Park with Loughrea playing Turloughmore followed by Castlegar and Gort at 6pm.
In The Senior B Hurling Championships, Mullagh face Athenry in Duggan Park at 2.30 followed by Kiltormer and Killimordaly at 4pm.
In the Intermediate Hurling Championships, Oranmore/Maree take on Ahascragh/Fohenagh in Loughrea at 12 Noon while at the same time in Ballindereen, Clarenbridge take on Kinvara. The last of the games of the weekend at intermediate sees Annaghdown face Rahoon/Newcastle in Pearse Stadium at 6.30.
