Galway Bay fm newsroom – Over 100 people in Galway called the Gardaí following domestic incidents this year – but did not press charges on the alleged perpetrator.
New figures from Galway Gardaí reveal that the force dealt with 142 domestic incidents so far this year.
The figure includes twenty-seven breaches of barring orders, safety orders and protection orders.
115 incidents have been classified as ‘no offence disclosed,’ which means the person who reported the incident decided against making an official complaint.
Galway Garda Chief Superintendent Tom Curley says Gardaí always follow up on these cases.
