A man accused of the murder of a Glenamaddy factory worker will appear before Tuam District Court later this month.
The Director of Public Prosecutions will serve the book of evidence on Andresj Krauze, who was brought back to Ireland to face trial after being arrested by Tuam Gardai in Latvia.
30 year old, Latvian national, Andresj Krauze is facing a murder charge over the death of Juris Buls in July 2011.
Juris Buls worked in Titan Plastics in Glenamaddy and was 30 years old when he disappeared on July 7th, 2011.
Gardaí discovered his body over two weeks later in a wooded area near Creggs, 10km from his home in Glenamaddy.
Mr. Buls’s body was dumped in a drain, and a post mortem examination revealed that he had been strangled.
38 year old Sergejs Krauze was later charged with manslaughter at Galway Circuit Criminal Court, and sentenced to ten years in prison.
However, his brother Andresj Krauze fled to Latvia – where he was arrested in January after Tuam Gardai travelled to his home country on foot of a European Arrest Warrant.
Krauze is due to appear before Tuam District Court on March 22nd where he will be served with the book of evidence.
