Galway Bay fm newsroom – Two more Galway names have been added to the Seanad election race.
Galway native businessman and entrepreneur Enda O Coineen and Ballygar-based doctor, Martin Daly are seeking a NUI Panel seat in the Seanad.
Enda O Coineen was one of the key figures behind the Volvo Ocean Race stopover in Galway and is a founder and partner of Kilcullen Kapital.
The deadline for nominations to the Seanad as part of the NUI Panel has now passed but there is still time to be nominated to the other Seanad panels.
Dr. Martin Daly has been involved in the Management Board of Roscommon Hospital, the Suicide Task Force of the Western Health Board and doctor for Roscommon GAA senior teams.
Dr. Daly says he’s running for election to the Seanad because rural Ireland needs a strong voice.
