Galway Bay fm newsroom – Householders across rural Galway are set to benefit from a high-speed fibre broadband roll out by telecommunications company Eir.
100,000 homes across Ireland will be connected to the network – with 20 Galway locations included in the plan.
These include over 12 thousand households across Oranmore, Athenry, Costello, Barna, Claregalway, Kilcolgan, Moycullen, Ballyconneely, Belclare, Cornamona, Carraroe, Craughwell, Inverin, Kinvara, Rosscahill, Spiddal, Turloughmore, Ballyglunin, Castleblakney and Maree.
Eir spokesperson Carolan Lennon says that 13 thousand homes and businesses will have access to high speed fibre broadband by the end of the year.
