Galway Bay fm newsroom – Voters across Galway are being urged to carefully check the polling station details on their polling card before setting out to vote tomorrow.

Galway County Council says some voters will be casting their ballot in a different polling station this time around, due to changes to electoral divisions.

Voters in East Galway are being advised to check their polling station, and also to ensure that they are aware of which constituency they are voting in.

Some residents who have previously voted in Galway East may now be voting in the new Roscommon Galway constituency.

Voters are also urged to bring identification with them to the polling station, even if they have received a polling card in the post.

Suitable ID includes passports or a driving licence.

Polling stations will open at 7am tomorrow, and will remain open until 10pm.

We’ll have a special feature on the how the election process works, and how to use your vote effectively on FYI Galway from 5 this evening.
