Galway Bay fm newsroom – Commuters using the N84 Headford Road are facing traffic delays for the next four months due to roadworks on the Galway side of Headford
Contractors working on the N84 Luimnagh Realignment project are currently on site at two locations between Ballynew and Clooneen.
The Headford Road is down to one lane at two seperate locations around 6 kilometres south of Headford.
There are temporary traffic lights at both locations, and motorists are advised to expect delays as a result.
The works involve the construction of 4.5 kilometres of single carriageway with hard shoulder and verges.
There will also be modifications to three existing local side road junctions as well as two new junctions.
The works are expected to last around four months.
