Galway Bay fm newsroom – Two Galway community projects have been awarded almost half a million euro in LEADER funding from the Department of Rural & Community Development.
Coiste Pairc na bhForbacha will receive over €390,000 for the development of six new dressing rooms at the community playing fields in Furbo.
While over €34,000 has been granted for general upgrades to the Leitrim community centre in Kylebrack, including a new meeting room and storage facilities.
LEADER funding supports the delivery of projects aimed at improving quality of life in rural areas and encourages the diversification of economic activity.
