Claregalway 10k
Visiting athlete John Fitzgibbon of Thurles Crokes AC took the honours on Saturday last, at the 32nd running of the famous Claregalway 10k Road race. Fitzgibbon clocked 33.02 for victory ahead of Craughwell AC duo Kevin Mooney, who finished a strong second in 33.34, and Jamie Fallon who was third home in 34.11.
The ever-consistent Regina Casey of GCH won the Ladies section in an impressive time of 37.45, with club mate Sarah Collins of GCH second in 39.17, and Edel Reilly of Hollymount in Mayo, third home in 40.41.

Caltra 5k
The Caltra 5k road race takes place Saturday next 31st August at 11 am. The event is organized by local club Caltra and District 5k and incorporates the 2019 County 5K Road Race Championships also.
This is an AAI permitted race and all clubs are encouraged to support this event. Registration is available on the day at Caltra Community Centre from 9.30 am
