The Connacht Women’s management team have made two changes to their starting XV for Saturday’s Interprovincial Championship clash with Munster at The Sportsground (k/o 3pm).

Irish international Alison Miller who this year acts as player/coach is drafted onto the wing with Aoibheann Reilly moving to full-back, while there’s also a start at number 8 for Alex O’Brien with captain Nichola Fryday moving to the second row.

The game forms a double-header with the U18 Girls who also face Munster at 1pm, and entry to both ties is FREE. This is the only home game for both teams of the interpro season, with the squads heading to Ulster next weekend before the semi-finals and the final in September.

The Connacht Women started their Interprovincial campaign on Saturday at Energia Park on Saturday, falling to a 34-6 defeat to Leinster.

The new format of the interpros means there’s still a long way to go in the competition, with the round robin staged being used to determine final seedings for two semi-finals and a final which will ultimately decide the series.

Brian McClearn’s side are next in action against Munster on Saturday as part of a double header with the U18 Girls at The Sportsground, before they travel to Queen’s University to face Ulster.
