Nuig Mystics stayed top of the league with a win over Longford Falcons in Longford Sports Centre on Sat last. Mystics started with Kilkenny, Murray, O’Reilly, Gillchrease and O’Shea and were never really threatened in this game and led 17 12 at the end of the first quarter and pushed that lead out to 43 26 at end of the second. Mystics were able to run their bench with everyone getting good minutes on the floor. The 3rd and 4th was much of the same with the outcome never in doubt and ended on a scoreline of 80 47 in Mystics favour.  This win leads them into a top of the table clash with Fr. Matthews in the Jez this Sat 13th Feb. at 2pm. Currently Mystics are 13 & 12 having lost 1 game and Matthews are 11 & 9 having lost 2. With just 4 games left in the league and 2 of those against Fr. Matthews the league will definitely go right down to the wire.
Nuig Mystics Team & Scorers: Ailish O Reilly(12), Emer Smyth, Deirdre O’ Shea(6) ,Aoibhin O’Neill, Siobhan Kilkenny(22), Lauren Murray(5), Marritta Gillchrease (9),Leah Cunningham(2), Hannah Coen(6), Suzanne McDonagh, Catherine Connaire(15), Rebecca Hansberry(2).
