Galway Bay fm newsroom – A man has been remanded in custody to appear in court again later this month over the murder of a Glenamaddy factory worker. (19/2)

Andresj Krauze was brought back to Ireland last week to face trial after being arrested by Tuam Gardai in Latvia.

He appeared before Cloverhill District Court in Dublin today.

30 year old Latvian national Andresj Krauze is facing a murder charge over the death of Juris Buls in July 2011.

Juris Buls worked in Titan Plastics in Glenamaddy and was 30 years old when he disappeared on July 7th, 2011.

Gardai discovered his body over two weeks later in a wooded area near Creggs, 10km from his home in Glenamaddy.

Mr. Buls’s body was dumped in a drain, and a post mortem examination revealed that he had been strangled.

38 year old Sergejs Krauze was later charged with manslaughter at Galway Circuit Criminal Court, and sentenced to ten years in prison.

However, his brother Andresj Krauze fled to Latvia – where he was arrested last week after Tuam Gardai travelled to his home country on foot of a European Arrest Warrant.

He’s been remanded in custody to appear before Harristown District Court on the 19th of February.
